Private Eye

I read a bit of a book recently. "Little Brother" by some guy. Didn't really like it much, never finished it. At any rate the general theme was that rebellious teenagers are cool and the Department of Homeland Seccurity is not cool.

What did strike my interest, though, was this bit the guy wrote about privacy. Everyone has private things in their life, like going to the bathroom, taking a shower, intimate relations, etc. For some of us even our religion is private. Its not something any of us really feel guilty or ashamed of doing, everybody has to sometime, but generally we don't like to make these things public because they're, well, private. I think a lot of us (at least, I know somethymes I do) feel like we've been "caught in the act" when someone accidentally walks in the room without knocking or picks up the phone during a cconversation, even though nothing wrong is going on. Some people don't evenn like to discuss the issues that are involved with these kinds of things, and people will even put themselves to great lengths in order to retain their sense of privacy.

Well, I can't remember where I was going with this, put I thought it was mighty interesting. Maybe I was just ignorant before. But I think I'll be looking further into the matter in the near future.

Change is in the Wind

Something is different. All the time. I am not today what I was yesterday. I will not be tomorrow what I am today. I am me. I was me yesterday. I will be me tomorrow. The passage of time defines clearly yester-me and tomorrow-me. Few people, if any, will see both of them at the same time. They are two separate entities. They are me. There is only one of me. All the time. So far, at least. I’ll let you know if that changes. I will change. I will be me. My change can be forward, and it can be backward. Frontbackleftrightupdownnortheastwestsouth. Any direction. By the next time you see me, read this, look at that, think. Something will have happened to me. Something different. I am not the same. I am the same. Still me. You will change too. How will I change? How will you change? Where will you go? Where will I go? Let’s find out.

For those of you who say time does not exist, congratulations, you have an opinion. With that opinion you are most likely to use the logic that time is relativistic and therefore something similar to a moot point. God works in one eternal round. Stop whining about the inconsistencies of God and time. If you weren’t whining, good. If you are still whining, I don’t much care. If you don’t understand, either learn, or skip it. Your choice. For those of you who say time does exist, you also have an opinion. Chances are time is relative, but that doesn't stop us from enjoying our Friday nights now does it?

Schrodinger and his cat

Schrodinger had this theory about a cat. It's pretty well known. Then my math teacher (Mr. Johnson--really cool guy) said he never really much liked schrodinger's cat. Naturally, I protested because, well, I like cats I suppose. And why would the guy make a theory if it wasn't possibly right and/or useful? At any rate, I proceeded to use logic and uncanny lucidity, verbosity, and reasoning skills to explain that Schrodinger's cat can be inbetween just as much as it likes when it's shut in a box as long as there is an inbetween. (which, of course, we assume to be postulated, since it's the entire point of the theory). Having proven Schrodinger's cat to my math teacher, I felt quite smug about it all. Except for one little fact. The one he pointed out to me. What do you need an inbetween for?

So that is my question to one and all who read this blog. Make use of the nameless cat supposedly once owned, borrowed, rented, or just plain used by a man apparrently named Schrodinger. Tell me what needs to be inbetween.

Oh what a tangled web we weave

Yess! I just spent the last hour fiddling around with stuff that people smarter than me did ages ago! now when I check one page--a single page mind you--I can check all the websites that I want to keep up-to-date on all at once!

Victory is mine.

Also, I think I will be trying to devise a way to get all of the websites I put stuff on (deviantart, facebook, this place) to tell each other I put stuff on, but so far, no dice.

At any rate, I like to say stuff, so I will be putting things here. I have a list of things to put here. So look towards the future! And all that, and all that.
